Litigation Associate (Los Angeles)
The San Francisco office of JMBM seeks an associate with 2 – 3 years of experience to join our Americans with Disabilities Compliance and Defense Practice. This position will focus on our national ADA compliance and litigation practice but will also provide the opportunity to work in our broad-based business litigation practice, including real estate, creditor's rights, and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have experience litigating in federal court, including case management, discovery, motion and trial experience. We are looking for candidates who are excited about representing business clients in litigation and compliance matters and developing his or her trial and litigation skills in discovery, interviewing witnesses, drafting and arguing pleadings and motions, day-to-day case management, and participation in trial preparation. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and a team-oriented attitude, but will also have the ability to work independently and proactively to develop solutions that meet the needs of our clients and the team. Superior legal writing and research skills are required. Excellent academic credentials and admission to the State Bar of California are required. The Los Angeles office of JMBM seeks an associate with 3 – 5 years of broad-based litigation experience to join our Litigation Department. Candidates should have excellent research, analytical and drafting skills, consistent attention to detail, and strong verbal and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will also have experience arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and preparing cases for trial. Candidates should have specific litigation experience on commercial litigation issues, including breach of contract, tortious interference with contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and/or real estate disputes. A strong academic record and admission to the California Bar are required. Large law firm experience is useful. The Los Angeles, Orange County, or San Francisco office of JMBM seeks an associate with 3 – 6 years of experience to join our Labor and Employment department. In addition to a strong employment litigation background, experience in providing employment law advice and client counseling is required. Traditional labor law experience (NLRB, PERB, grievances/arbitrations and support for collective bargaining) is desired. Candidates must be admitted to the State Bar of California. Environmental, Land Use Associate (San Francisco)
JMBM’s San Francisco office seeks an associate with 5 – 8 years of experience in land use or environmental matters to join our Government, Land Use, Environment and Energy (GLUEE) Department. This associate will work on a wide range of regulatory, administrative, and litigation matters relating to the development of land and natural resources, and in the specific subject matter areas of project development, CEQA and NEPA, public lands and mining, air, water, and energy.
Prior experience in land use or environmental law is required. Experience in land use litigation (writ of mandate) and public lands is preferred. Excellent academic credentials and admission to the State Bar of California are required.

Corporate Associate (Los Angeles)
JMBM’s Los Angeles office has an opportunity for an exceptional Corporate associate with 3 – 6 years of experience to join a team of corporate attorneys that focuses on representing middle market companies and acquirors/investors/lenders on a variety of corporate transactions, including a robust M&A/Finance practice.
Candidates should have a strong general corporate transactional background, including experience with one or more of M&A, equity financings, debt financings, JVs and/or licensing/distribution arrangements. Solid experience in drafting and reviewing corporate documentation is required. Excellent academic credentials, as well as strong written, interpersonal and communication skills are also required.
Our corporate clients include a broad array of financial sponsors, lenders, public and private operating companies, and wealthy families/individuals. They span a diverse range of industries, including consumer products, tech/media/telecom, manufacturing/distribution (including A&D), business services, food/beverage and healthcare.
Candidates should be able to work in a team, while also handling significant individual responsibilities. Large firm experience is preferred. Admission to the State Bar of California is required.
