Tax Associate (Los Angeles)

The Los Angeles office of JMBM seeks a tax associate with 3 – 6 years of experience to join our Taxation, Trusts & Estates department. Ideal candidates will have experience advising clients on individual, partnership, S-corporation and C-corporation income tax matters, in addition to M&A transactions. This position entails client contact and some trusts and estates work is expected, but no prior experience is needed. Excellent academic credentials, as well as strong written, interpersonal and communication skills, are required. Candidates should be able to work in a team while also handling significant individual responsibilities. Large firm experience and an LL.M. in Taxation are preferred. Trusts & Estates Associate (San Francisco)

The San Francisco office of JMBM has an immediate need for a Trusts & Estates associate with 3 - 4 years of experience to join our Taxation, Trusts & Estates department. The ideal candidate will have significant experience drafting estate planning documents for high net worth individuals and families. Experience in trust administration is a plus. Strong academic credentials and admission to the State Bar of California are required. An LL.M. is a plus. Patent Prosecution Attorney (Part-Time)

JMBM’s Los Angeles office has an immediate opening for a part-time patent prosecution attorney. The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience. Drafting patent applications for leading technology companies will be the focus of the position. This is also an opportunity for progression to a fulltime role. A technical degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is preferred, but not required. Candidates must be admitted to the USPTO and be a member of the California Bar. Labor & Employment Associate (Los Angeles, Orange County or San Francisco)

JMBM seeks an associate with 3 – 6 years of experience to join our Labor and Employment department. The associate’s practice will focus on employment litigation, including single plaintiff and class action matters. Significant wage and hour class action experience is a plus.  In addition to a strong employment litigation background, experience in providing employment law advice and client counseling is required. Traditional labor law experience is a plus. Candidates must be admitted to the State Bar of California. Strong academic credentials are required.
