ADA Litigation Associate (San Francisco)

JMBM's San Francisco office seeks an outstanding associate, with 3-4 years of experience in ADA compliance and litigation.  Experience advising clients in identifying architectural accessibility barriers and recommending steps to comply with the ADA and California Building Code is required. In addition, experience assisting clients with Internet-related compliance, including retail websites and online reservation systems is necessary. The ideal candidate will also have significant experience litigating in Federal court, including case management and trial experience.  A strong academic record and admission to the State Bar of California are required.  Department of Justice experience is helpful.  This position provides the opportunity to join one of the most dynamic ADA defense practices in the country. Labor & Employment Associate (San Francisco)

JMBM's San Francisco office seeks an associate with 3-6 years of experience to join the Firm's Labor and Employment Department. In addition to a strong employment litigation background, substantial experience in providing employment law advice and client counseling is required. Traditional labor law experience (NLRB, PERB, grievances/arbitrations and support for collective bargaining) is desired. Prevailing wage experience or interest is a plus. Patent and Trademark Associate (Los Angeles)

JMBM’s Los Angeles office has an immediate opening for an attorney with at least 3 years of experience in patent, copyright and trademark law to join its Intellectual Property Department team. A technical degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Computer Science is preferred. Experience in litigation or in administrative proceedings in the Patent and Trademark Office is a plus. A growing book of business is also a plus. Candidates must be admitted to the USPTO and be a member of the California Bar. Tax Associate (Los Angeles)

JMBM’s Los Angeles office seeks a tax associate with 4-6 years of experience to join our Taxation, Trusts & Estates department. Ideal candidates will have experience advising clients on partnership, individual, S-Corporation and C-Corporation taxation on a broad range of domestic and international transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation, real estate and entertainment. Excellent academic credentials, as well as strong written, interpersonal and communication skills are required. Candidates should be able to work in a team, while also handling significant individual responsibilities. This position entails immediate client contact, drafting operative tax documents and will also involve some trusts and estates work. Major law firm experience and an LL.M. in Taxation are preferred; international and state/local taxation experience are a plus. Admission to the State Bar of California is required. Tax and Trusts & Estates Paralegal (Irvine)

JMBM's Irvine office seeks a full-time paralegal with a minimum of 5 years experience in a tax or trust and estates department of a law firm.  In addition to strong experience drafting trust and estate documents, knowledge of post death trust administration and experience preparing statutory notices, county assessor notices, allocation of assets to sub trusts and implementation of allocation is required.  Candidate must have a four-year college degree or equivalent and ABA approved paralegal certificate.  Qualified candidates should send cover letter and resume to SDeluna@jmbm.com.
