Corporate Associate (Los Angeles)
JMBM’s Los Angeles office has an opportunity for an exceptional corporate associate with 2 – 4 years of experience to join a team of corporate attorneys, representing middle market clients on a variety of corporate transactions. Candidates should have a strong general corporate transactional background, including experience with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, spin-offs, divestitures, financings, and strategic investment and alliances. Solid experience in drafting and reviewing corporate documentation is required. Excellent academic credentials, as well as strong written, interpersonal and communication skills are required.
Our corporate clients include public and private companies, wealthy individuals, and family offices. They span a diverse range of industries, including consumer products, electronics, entertainment, financial services, food and beverage, manufacturing, retail and technology.
Candidates should be able to work in a team, while also handling significant individual responsibilities. Major transactional firm experience is required. Labor and Employment Associate (Los Angeles)
The Los Angeles office of JMBM seeks an associate with 3 – 6 years of experience to join the firm's Labor and Employment department. In addition to a strong employment litigation background, experience in providing employment law advice and client counseling is required. Traditional labor law experience (NLRB, PERB, grievances/arbitrations and support for collective bargaining) is desired. Candidates must be admitted to the State Bar of California. Real Estate Associate (Los Angeles)
JMBM’s Los Angeles office has an immediate opening for an outstanding Real Estate associate with 3 – 7 years of real estate transactional experience. Previous sophisticated law firm experience and California Bar admission are required. Our real estate attorneys represent sophisticated institutional and opportunistic owners, lenders, investors, developers, landlords and tenants in all aspects of real estate transaction and development. The associate will receive broad exposure to real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing, joint ventures, leasing, design and construction. JMBM is known for its best-in-class Global Hospitality Group – an interdisciplinary practice specializing in hotel and resort ownership, development, financing, franchising and management. Under the direct supervision and training of active partners, the associate will assist with negotiation and drafting of transactional agreements, performing due diligence and closing transactions. Tax Associate (Los Angeles)
The Los Angeles office of JMBM seeks a tax associate with 3 – 6 years of experience to join our Taxation, Trusts & Estates department. Ideal candidates will have experience advising clients on partnership and corporate income taxation, in addition to M&A transactions. Candidates should be knowledgeable regarding the taxation of partnerships, C-Corporations and S-Corporations, in addition to Section 199A and qualified opportunity zone planning. Experience with tax aspects of real estate and entertainment industries is a plus. This position entails client contact and some trusts and estates work is expected but no prior experience is needed. Excellent academic credentials, as well as strong written, interpersonal and communication skills, are required. Candidates should be able to work in a team while also handling significant individual responsibilities. Large firm experience and an LL.M. in Taxation are preferred. Admission to the State Bar of California is required.
Trusts & Estates Associate (Los Angeles)
JMBM's Los Angeles office has an opportunity for an exceptional Trusts & Estates associate with 2 - 3 years of experience to join our Taxation, Trusts & Estates department. Ideal candidates will have experience in trust administration and estate planning for high net worth individuals and families. Experience drafting estate planning documents is required. Commitment to the highest quality of work and client service is expected. Strong academic credentials and admission to the State Bar of California are required. An LL.M. is a plus.
