IT HELP DESK MANAGER (LOS ANGELES)
JMBM is seeking a Help Desk Manager to lead its user support and training team from its Century City office. The Help Desk Manager supports all end-user hardware, software, mobile devices, applications and related technologies that are needed for employees to perform their duties. The Help Desk Manager will work in tandem with the Engineering Manager to implement new technologies, policies, and best practices to support the growing technology needs of the Firm.
A successful Help Desk Manager must demonstrate a blend of technical skills, positive personality, customer service, leadership, dedication, and responsibility for the daily operations of the Firm. The Help Desk Manager must understand the use of technology in the practice of law. The Help Desk Manager must perform the duties of the position according to the Firm's policies and procedures and maintain the confidentiality of client and Firm matters at all times.
LITIGATION SECRETARY (LOS ANGELES)
JMBM is seeking a Litigation Secretary with a minimum of 5 years' civil litigation experience for the Los Angeles office. The successful candidate will have experience with filing in state and federal court, court calendaring, have keen attention to detail, and excellent organizational and computers skills. A high degree of professionalism, ability to work independently and as a member of a dynamic, high-paced litigation team are also desired skills. In addition, poise, interpersonal and above-par communication skills are also required. RECORDS MANAGER (LOS ANGELES)
The Records Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Department and for the supervision of the Records staff and their workflow. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years' prior records management experience in paper and electronic form. In addition, experience with managing the change to electronic records system is needed. Prior law firm and iManage experience is desirable. Strong interpersonal, leadership, organization and communication skills are a must. Bachelor's Degree required.
LEGAL SECRETARY (SAN FRANCISCO)
The Firm's San Francisco office is seeking a Litigation Secretary with a minimum of 4 years' civil litigation experience, including experience with e-filing in state and federal courts. Knowledge of CCP and FRCP are needed. The successful candidate will have experience in court calendaring, have keen attention to detail, and excellent organization and computer skills. A high degree of professionalism, ability to work independently and as a member of a dynamic, high-paced litigation team are also desired skills. ATTORNEY RECRUITING SENIOR COORDINATOR (LOS ANGELES)
The Attorney Recruiting Senior Coordinator is primarily responsible for coordinating the Firm's summer associate program, fall on-campus interviewing, and lateral associate recruiting. Other duties include maintaining the Firm's recruiting and continuing education databases, assisting on attorney training and diversity programs, and administrative duties, including responding to inquiries and related duties as assigned. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a high degree of professionalism and discretion with sensitive matters. The ability to work in a team while also handling individual responsibilities and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities are sought. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking for growth potential. Experience in a recruiting position in a law firm environment preferred. A Bachelor's degree is required.
IT TRAINER (LOS ANGELES)
The IT Trainer is responsible for the design, development and delivery of training on the Firm’s computer desktop configuration and business applications. The IT Trainer will work closely with IT, Human Resources and Professional Development team members to manage, customize and maintain training materials and resources for JMBM’s end user computing environment, deliver new attorney and staff computer training, identify the need for, organize and deliver group training classes, and manage and maintain the Firm’s Learning Management System. The IT Trainer will also provide backup support to the Helpdesk on a regular basis, working as an additional member of this team.
The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with experience in a helpdesk function or other time-critical client services organization, have the ability to easily develop a rapport with users, have a pleasant phone voice and desk-side manner, excellent listening skills, possess the ability to lead the user to a solution though one-on-one guidance and be responsive to urgent support requests with strong follow-up skills. Experience creating computer based training videos with screen recording tools required. Four-year college degree or equivalent experience also required.
CORPORATE PARALEGAL (LOS ANGELES)
The Corporate Paralegal will have responsibility for creating organizational and dissolution documents for corporations (including non-profit corporations), LLC’s and partnerships; will assist with purchase and sale transactions; will draft deeds and miscellaneous regulatory filings; and prepare other related documents and miscellaneous tasks as needed. The successful candidate must have 3 to 5 years’ experience in a law firm environment; excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team are a must. Four-year college degree or equivalent and ABA approved paralegal certificate required.
TRUST AND ESTATES PARALEGAL (LOS ANGELES)
The Trust and Estates Paralegal is responsible for drafting estate planning documents and handling all aspects of trust administration at the direction of the Tax attorneys in the Century City office. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience in the trust and estates department of a law firm, excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills. Superior organization and attention detail also needed. A four-year college degree or equivalent and ABA approved paralegal certificate required.
