DIRECTOR OF RECRUITING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (LOS ANGELES)

JMBM’s Los Angeles office is seeking a Director of Recruiting and Professional Development. As the Director of Recruiting, you will be charged with implementing and executing the Firm’s attorney recruiting strategies and programs. This includes working with the Lateral Hiring Committee and the partner in charge of lateral hiring for the effective and efficient delivery and coordination of all aspects of lateral partner, associate, and summer associate hiring and integration functions. The role requires superior knowledge of the principles and practices of recruiting and the legal search process, a positive and collaborative personality, and a strong dedication to and sense of responsibility for the Firm’s hiring needs.

This role presents a rewarding and unique opportunity to build out a new recruiting team and to bring a fresh outlook to the existing recruiting program. LEGAL RECRUITING COORDINATOR (LOS ANGELES)

JMBM’s LA office is seeking a Legal Recruiting Coordinator. The Legal Recruiting Coordinator will have 2+ years proven success recruiting with an Am Law 100/200 firms and will be assisting the Director of Recruiting with lateral associate hiring. This person will be an organizational guru, work effectively with internal and external clients and candidates, possess great communication skills, have the ability to shift gears at a moment’s notice, be proactive in nature, and enjoy the challenges of helping to recruit great talent.

LITIGATION SECRETARY (LOS ANGELES AND ORANGE COUNTY)

JMBM’s Los Angeles and Irvine offices are seeking Litigation Secretaries with a minimum of 5 years' civil litigation experience. The successful candidate will have experience with filing in state and federal court, and will have a keen attention to detail, as well as excellent organizational and computer skills. A high degree of professionalism, ability to work independently and ability to work as a member of a dynamic, high-paced litigation team are also desired skills. In addition, poise, interpersonal and above-par communication skills are required.

HELP DESK ANALYST (SAN FRANCISCO)

JMBM’s San Francisco office is seeking a Help Desk Analyst. The Analyst will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a Help Desk or Desktop Support role. This person will have the technical expertise to work with all levels of the organization’s personnel to install, maintain, repair and/or upgrade end-user IT hardware or software. The Analyst will provide technical service and support and work towards maximizing productivity by providing exceptional user support across the Firm’s network. This position will provide support to the local San Francisco office personnel and will assist the Help Desk team by providing remote support to personnel in JMBM’s other offices.

TALENT ENGAGEMENT LEAD (LOS ANGELES)

JMBM’s Los Angeles office is seeking a Talent Engagement Lead. As a Talent Engagement Lead, you will employ innovative ideas and the power of social media to convey the experience of a career at JMBM to prospective candidates. Working closely with hiring managers and staff, you will develop a strong understanding of the Firm's culture and present that image through various outlets to develop and maintain a pipeline of talent to fulfill the Firm's hiring needs. You will be responsible for the recruitment process in its entirety from start to finish. In addition to staff recruiting, you will work closely with the Director of Recruiting on attorney hiring throughout the year.

Paralegals

CORPORATE PARALEGAL (LOS ANGELES)

The Los Angeles office of JMBM seeks an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join our Tax, Trusts & Estates department. The Corporate Paralegal creates organizational and dissolution documents for corporations (including non-profit corporations), LLCs and partnerships, and related documents. Experience with formation, merger, and dissolution of corporations, non-profit corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships is required. Responsibilities also include drafting governing documents such as bylaws and operating agreements, preparing annual corporate maintenance, and drafting shareholder and Board of Director minutes. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience as a corporate paralegal in a law firm or the equivalent. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and paralegal certification from an ABA approved program are required.

TRUSTS AND ESTATES PARALEGAL (LOS ANGELES)

The Los Angeles office of JMBM seeks an experienced Trusts and Estates Paralegal to join our Tax, Trusts & Estates department. The paralegal will be responsible for drafting estate planning documents and handling all aspects of trust administration, at the direction of the Tax attorneys. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in the trusts and estates department of a law firm, excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills. Superior organization and attention detail are also needed. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and paralegal certification from an ABA approved program are required.
