Paralegals

CORPORATE PARALEGAL (LOS ANGELES)

The Los Angeles office of JMBM seeks an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join our Tax, Trusts & Estates department. The Corporate Paralegal creates organizational and dissolution documents for corporations (including non-profit corporations), LLCs and partnerships, and related documents. Experience with formation, merger, and dissolution of corporations, non-profit corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships is required. Responsibilities also include drafting governing documents such as bylaws and operating agreements, preparing annual corporate maintenance, and drafting shareholder and Board of Director minutes. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience as a corporate paralegal in a law firm or the equivalent. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and paralegal certification from an ABA approved program are required.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PARALEGAL (LOS ANGELES)

The Los Angeles office of JMBM seeks an experienced Paralegal to join our Intellectual Property department. The IP Paralegal is responsible for assisting attorneys with all aspects of intellectual property administration. Responsibilities include research and compiling information pertaining to intellectual property rights, particularly trademark, patent and copyright.  Ability to work under pressure and extreme attention to detail is needed. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and paralegal certification from an ABA approved program are required.

TRUSTS AND ESTATES PARALEGAL (LOS ANGELES)

The Los Angeles office of JMBM seeks an experienced Trusts and Estates Paralegal to join our Tax, Trusts & Estates department. The paralegal will be responsible for drafting estate planning documents and handling all aspects of trust administration, at the direction of the Tax attorneys. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in the trusts and estates department of a law firm, excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills. Superior organization and attention detail are also needed. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and paralegal certification from an ABA approved program are required.

REAL ESTATE LEGAL SECRETARY (LOS ANGELES)

The Los Angeles office of JMBM seeks a qualified legal secretary to join our Real Estate department. The Real Estate Legal Secretary is responsible for administrative support for real estate attorneys and other team members in the department. The secretary will be responsible for preparing, editing, and proofing a wide variety of documents, including correspondence, agreements, leases, deeds of trust and other legal materials using transcription equipment and word processing, document comparison and document management software, as well as managing attorney scheduling, client intake, and billing. A successful candidate will have at least one year of experience as a legal secretary in the real estate department of  a law firm.
