Joseph A. Stolz is an associate in the Labor & Employment Group at Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP. He represents employers in a broad range of employment law and business matters, including complex litigation, workplace investigations, and dispute resolution.

Joseph has successfully represented clients in employment and business litigation, including second-chairing two trials that resulted in more than $1 million in damages and has achieved favorable outcomes in several mediations. He has extensive experience drafting dispositive motions, including writing and opposing more than a dozen summary judgment motions with a high success rate. He has also drafted multiple successful appellate briefs and has argued before the California Court of Appeal. Joseph has managed all phases of litigation, including complex discovery and e-discovery in high-volume document cases.

Prior to joining JMBM, Joseph practiced at a boutique litigation firm, where he represented corporate clients such as Santé Health System, Inc., securing multimillion-dollar recoveries and avoiding significant liabilities, as well as representing high-level employees in variety of discrimination and wrongful termination contexts.

Joseph graduated cum laude from Loyola Law School where he was a Sayre Macneil Scholar, a finalist in the Scott Moot Court Competition, volunteered as a member of the Scott Moot Court Honors Board, and was a member of the ABA Moot Court Team.
