Jeffrey R. Groendal

Jeffrey R. Groendal is a partner in Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP's corporate practice. Jeff has broad experience in corporate counsel work, M&A and general business transactions. He also frequently serves as outside general counsel to businesses and entrepreneurs. Jeff has served both large and mid-sized privately-held companies across a variety of industries.

Over nearly 20 years in practice, Jeff’s primary focus has been as transactional adviser to his clients from early stage to exit. He has experience as counsel in mergers, stock and asset acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, and fundraising. He negotiates and oversees the completion of all phases of a deal, from the preparation of a letter of intent, to due diligence, to the drafting of primary and ancillary agreements, and up to and through closing and post-closing items. On M&A matters, Jeff has represented both sellers and buyers, in deals including a mix of strategic corporate parties, private equity and sponsor-backed strategics.

Jeff and his family are active in the El Segundo community, where they have resided for more than 15 years.
