ADA Litigation Associate  (San Francisco)

JMBM's San Francisco office seeks an outstanding associate, with 3-4 years of experience in ADA compliance and litigation.  Experience advising clients in identifying architectural accessibility barriers and recommending steps to comply with the ADA and California Building Code is required. In addition, experience assisting clients with Internet-related compliance, including retail websites and online reservation systems is necessary. The ideal candidate will also have significant experience litigating in Federal court, including case management and trial experience.  A strong academic record and admission to the State Bar of California are required.  Department of Justice experience is helpful.  This position provides the opportunity to join one of the most dynamic ADA defense practices in the country. Labor and Employment Associate (Los Angeles or San Francisco)

JMBM is seeking an associate with 3-5 years of experience to join the firm's labor and employment department. In addition to a strong employment litigation background, substantial experience in providing employment law advice and client counseling is required. Traditional labor law experience (NLRB, PERB, grievances/arbitrations and support for collective bargaining) is desired. Prevailing wage experience or interest is a plus. Land Use Associate (Los Angeles)

JMBM's Los Angeles office is seeking an associate with 2+ years of land use experience to join our preeminent Land Use & Zoning Practice (GLUEE), chaired by Benjamin M. Reznik. The ideal candidate will have experience in land use and development matters, including entitlement processing, public hearings and litigation pertaining to land use issues.

Our land use attorneys represent private property owners and developers before city councils, county boards, planning commissions and other local, state and federal administrative bodies. For more about our Land Use practice, click here.

Candidates will have strong land use and CEQA experience at a major law firm. Experience with land use work, municipal law and regulatory matters is helpful, but not required.  Candidates must have a strong academic background, and excellent research and writing skills.

Tax Associate (Los Angeles)

The Los Angeles office of JMBM seeks a tax associate with 2-4 years of experience to join our Taxation, Trusts & Estates department. Ideal candidates will have experience advising clients on partnership and corporate taxation, in addition to M&A transactions. Candidates should be knowledgeable regarding the taxation of partnerships, C-Corporations and S-Corporations. Experience with tax aspects of real estate and entertainment industries is a plus. This position entails client contact and some trusts and estates work is expected. Excellent academic credentials, as well as strong written, interpersonal and communication skills, are required. Candidates should be able to work in a team while also handling significant individual responsibilities. Large firm experience and an LL.M. in Taxation are preferred. Litigation Secretary (Los Angeles)

JMBM is seeking a full-time Litigation Secretary for its Los Angeles office. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in litigation, knowledge of State and Federal court rules, E-filing and calendaring. Proficiency in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel), document management programs, time entry and billing programs are a must. Excellent interaction and communication skills are required, as are professionalism, organization, and attention to detail.
