Real Estate Associate (Los Angeles)
The JMBM Real Estate Group is looking for an outstanding associate with 1-3 years of real estate or other transactional experience. Attorneys from class years 2011-2012 with corporate or finance experience seeking to retool to real estate are encouraged to apply. We represent owners, investors, developers, private equity firms, REITs, and family offices in all aspects of real estate investment and development. This candidate will receive broad exposure to real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing, joint ventures, leasing, and construction. The associate, under the direct supervision and training of active partners and senior associates, will assist with negotiation and drafting of operative agreements, performing due diligence, and closing transactions. Labor & Employment Associate (Los Angeles)
JMBM's Labor & Employment Group seeks an associate with 4-6 years of experience in labor and employment. Experience in traditional labor law (including NLRB, union organizing and collective bargaining) is required. Associates in our Labor & Employment practice work closely with employer clients to develop proactive compliance and dispute resolution strategies. They also get hands-on litigation experience in jury trials, administrative trials and appeals before courts and administrative agencies nationwide. Patent and Trademark Associate (Los Angeles)
JMBM's Los Angeles office has an immediate opening for an attorney with 2-3 years of experience in patents and trademarks to join its Intellectual Property team. A technical degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering is required. The successful candidate will have experience in patent prosecution and counseling, conducting patent research, and drafting patent opinions. Experience in US and foreign trademark searches, prosecution, enforcement, and portfolio management is also required. Candidates must be admitted to the USPTO and be a member of the California Bar.
