ADA Litigation Associate  (San Francisco)

JMBM's San Francisco office seeks an outstanding associate, with 3-4 years of experience in ADA compliance and litigation.  Experience advising clients in identifying architectural accessibility barriers and recommending steps to comply with the ADA and California Building Code is required. In addition, experience assisting clients with Internet-related compliance, including retail websites and online reservation systems is necessary. The ideal candidate will also have significant experience litigating in Federal court, including case management and trial experience.  A strong academic record and admission to the State Bar of California are required.  Department of Justice experience is helpful.  This position provides the opportunity to join one of the most dynamic ADA defense practices in the country. Labor and Employment Associate (Los Angeles or San Francisco)

JMBM is seeking an associate with 3-5 years of experience to join the firm's labor and employment department. In addition to a strong employment litigation background, substantial experience in providing employment law advice and client counseling is required. Traditional labor law experience (NLRB, PERB, grievances/arbitrations and support for collective bargaining) is desired. Prevailing wage experience or interest is a plus. Land Use Associate (Los Angeles)

JMBM's Los Angeles office is seeking an associate with 2+ years of land use experience to join our preeminent Land Use & Zoning Practice (GLUEE), chaired by Benjamin M. Reznik. The ideal candidate will have experience in land use and development matters, including entitlement processing, public hearings and litigation pertaining to land use issues.

Candidates will have strong land use and CEQA experience at a major law firm. Experience with land use work, municipal law and regulatory matters is helpful, but not required.  Candidates must have a strong academic background, and excellent research and writing skills.

Real Estate Associate (Los Angeles)

JMBM seeks an exceptional associate with 2-5 years of real estate transactional experience. JMBM represents owners, investors, developers, lenders, private equity firms, REITs and family offices in all aspects of real estate transaction and development. This position provides broad exposure to real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing, joint ventures, leasing, construction, and specialized experience with hotel ownership, franchising and management. Under the supervision and training of active partners, the associate will assist with negotiating and drafting transactional agreements, performing due diligence and closing transactions. Tax Associate (Los Angeles)

The Los Angeles office of JMBM seeks a tax associate with 2-4 years of experience to join our Taxation, Trusts & Estates department. Ideal candidates will have experience advising clients on partnership and corporate taxation, in addition to M&A transactions. Candidates should be knowledgeable regarding the taxation of partnerships, C-Corporations and S-Corporations. Experience with tax aspects of real estate and entertainment industries is a plus. This position entails client contact and some trusts and estates work is expected. Excellent academic credentials, as well as strong written, interpersonal and communication skills, are required. Candidates should be able to work in a team while also handling significant individual responsibilities. Large firm experience and an LL.M. in Taxation are preferred. Help Desk Analyst: Day shift and after-hours shift (Los Angeles)

Please note that this posting refers to two positions - one during the day shift, and one during the night shift.

In a law firm environment, the Help Desk Analyst will have the appropriate technical expertise to work with all levels of Firm personnel and outside service companies to install, maintain, repair and/or upgrade IT hardware or software. In addition, for end users requesting technical service and support this person will work towards maximizing productivity by providing exceptional user support across the LAN and WAN environments. The Help Desk Analyst will have excellent interpersonal and telephone skills with a proven background. This person is expected to have a high degree of professionalism, good listening skills and a great deal of patience. They will be responsible for providing a solution, being very responsive to urgent requests and/or outages with a certain degree of calm and confidence and escalating, when necessary, in order to meet the Firm's needs. The Help Desk Analyst will perform the duties of the position according to the Firm's policies and procedures, while maintaining the strictest confidentiality of client and firm matters at all times.
