Taxation, Trust & Estates Associate (Los Angeles)

JMBM seeks an outstanding junior tax, trusts and estates associate to join the Taxation, Trust & Estates department of our Century City office. The successful candidate will have 1-3 years of law firm experience concentrated in taxation. The candidate should have experience structuring corporate and partnership transactions, in addition to drafting tax provisions within the transaction documents. Experience or academic background in the estate planning and tax-exempt organization practice areas is desirable, as the successful candidate must balance concurrent, ongoing matters in tax, estate planning and tax-exempt organizations. Strong academic credentials and admission to the California Bar are required. An LL.M. in tax is preferred. JMBM’s tax, trust and estates practice is among the largest in Los Angeles. JMBM’s Irvine office is looking for an experienced trust and estates paralegal to support one of the leading, tax, trust and estate planning practices in California. Direct interaction with clients. Excellent communication, organization and attention to detail a must. Ability to work independently and as an integral member of a team. Proficiency in MS Office applications required. Litigation Paralegal (San Francisco)
JMBM’s San Francisco office is looking for an experienced  Litigation Paralegal. The ideal candidate must be able to prepare and serve/file pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, deposition notices and other legal documents.  Assist in preparation for trials, hearings and mediations.  Must have thorough knowledge of Federal and California rules of court and civil procedure; bankruptcy experience a plus.  Must possess strong knowledge of calendaring.  E-filing experience in all four district courts is a must. 
Excellent communication, organization, grammar and proofreading skills are needed for this position.  The ability to hit the ground running in a deadline-driven environment is necessary.  Proficient use of legal technologies is a plus including Summation, Relativity, Livenote, Concordance.
Candidate must have a paralegal certificate.
