Real Estate Associate (Los Angeles)

The JMBM Real Estate Group has an opening for an outstanding associate with 2-5 years of real estate transactional experience. Previous sophisticated law firm experience and California Bar admission are required.  We represent owners, investors, developers, lenders, private equity firms, REITs and family offices in all aspects of real estate transaction and development. The associate will receive broad exposure to real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing, joint ventures, leasing, construction, and specialized experience with hotel ownership, franchising and management. Under the direct supervision and training of active partners and senior associates, the associate will assist with negotiation and drafting of transactional agreements, performing due diligence and closing transactions. Finance and leasing experience are pluses.  JMBM is a collaborative environment that encourages professional development at all levels. Litigation Paralegal (San Francisco)

JMBM’s San Francisco office is looking for a mid-level Litigation Paralegal to support our Partners in the office.  Direct interaction with clients. Excellent communication, organization and attention to detail a must. Ability to work independently and as an integral member of a team. Proficiency in MS Office applications required.   • Paralegal certificate required; B.A., B.S. or A.A. preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of litigation support software, MS Word, Excel, Westlaw, Lexis, Relativity. 
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state court rules; calendaring discovery and litigation deadlines; filing legal documents in federal and state courts using PACER/ECF or equivalent electronic filing state court systems.

JMBM is seeking a full-time Litigation Secretary for its Los Angeles office. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in litigation, knowledge of State and Federal court rules, E-filing and calendaring. Proficiency in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel), document management programs, time entry and billing programs are a must. Excellent interaction and communication skills are required, as are professionalism, organization, and attention to detail.

Real Estate/Hospitality Secretary (Los Angeles)

JMBM is seeking a full-time Legal Secretary for its Real Estate practice in Los Angeles.  The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience handling documentation supporting real estate and financing transactions in a legal environment.  Proficiency in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel), document management programs, red-lining, time entry and billing programs are a must. Excellent interaction and communication skills are required, as are professionalism, organization, and attention to detail. Extensive event and travel planning experience preferred to support the Firm's international conference, Meet The Money®.
