Patent and Trademark Associate (Los Angeles)

JMBM’s Los Angeles office has an immediate opening for an attorney with 2-3 years of experience in patents and trademarks to join its Intellectual Property team.  A technical degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry is required.  The successful candidate will have experience in patent prosecution and counseling, conducting patent research, and drafting patent opinions.  Experience in US and foreign trademark searches, prosecution, enforcement, and portfolio management is also required.  Candidates must be admitted to the USPTO and be a member of the California Bar.   JMBM is a collaborative environment that provides mentoring and encourages professional development at all levels. Labor & Employment Associate (San Francisco)

Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell's San Francisco office is seeking an associate with 2-3 years of experience in labor and employment. This associate will work on a wide variety of employer-side matters, including wage and hour claims, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and prevailing wage. Additionally, the associate will also work on employment advice matters. Associates in our Labor & Employment practice work closely with employer clients to develop proactive compliance and dispute resolution strategies. They also get hands-on litigation experience in jury trials, administrative trials and appeals before courts and administrative agencies nationwide. JMBM's Irvine office is looking for an experienced paralegal with 5-10 years experience in estate planning and trust administration. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and computer knowledge is required. Ability to work independently and as an integral member of a team is desired. College degree desired, ABA paralegal certificate is required.
